Marcin Żemigała, Associate Professor, in 2002 graduated from the Department of Organisation and Management of the Technical University of Lodz, majoring in Management and Marketing. In 2006 he got a doctorate degree in economics in the field of management science. Currently, he works as an associate professor in the the Department of Organization Theory and Methods at the Faculty of Management, University of Warsaw. His scientific and research interests include modern management conceptions, such as: corporate social responsibility, environmental management, quality management, and knowledge management. He is an author or co-author of over forty scientific articles and seven books: Corporate Social Responsibility (Wolters Kluwer, Krakow 2007), Quality in the system of enterprise management (Placet, Warsaw 2008 – 1st edition, 2009 – supplemented 2nd edition), A Manager of the New Times (Helion, Gliwice 2010), Life and Work of the Contemporary Manager (WSZiP, Warsaw 2010), Bibliometrics in Technology and Scientific Research Management (The Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Warsaw 2012), Corporate Social Responsibility – an Employee’s Perspective (Trade Unions Forum, Faculty of Management University of Warsaw, Warsaw – Bydgoszcz 2013), Corporate Social Responsibility in the Light of Bibliometric Analysis and Employees’ Opinions concerning Work – Life Balance (Faculty of Management University of Warsaw, Warsaw 2013). He also gave lectures in France (Institut d’Administration des Enterprises (IAE), Université Montpellier 2, Universite de Nantes), Belgium (Haute Ecole Libre Mosane, Liege), Portugal (Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gest?o), and Finland (Tampere University of Applied Sciences, University of Lapland). Moreover, he conducted the scientific researches commissioned by, among other things, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), financed by the European Union or the Faculty of Management University of Warsaw. He reviewed applications for scientific projects commissioned by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as well as he is a reviewer of the articles published in the journal “Problems of Management”, and additionally, he is a member of the academic committee International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sports Management organised by the University of Granada. Furthermore, as an expert he represents the University of Warsaw in the Technical Committee No. 305 for Social Responsibility at Polish Committee for Standardization. He was also twice awarded (2012 and 2013) by the Rector of the Warsaw University for his academic achievements.
