Prof. Krzysztof Klincewicz delivered an invited lecture on the use of bibliometric techniques to stimulate applied research. The lecture was organised by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling (ICM) of the University of Warsaw in the ICM’s scientific colloqium series. It covered possible, practical uses of descriptive bibliometrics to inspire academic or corporate R&D efforts. The presentation concerned among others the techniques of tech mining, Literature-Based Discovery and TRIZ, discussing possible uses of bibliometric data, computational approaches and potential challenges of these analyses.
