Marcin Kardas, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Management, University of Warsaw. He specializes in organizational change management and research and innovation management, with particular interest in research, innovation and industrial policies. Dr. Kardas received PhD in management science at the Warsaw School of Economics in 2009. His PhD thesis concerned the internationalization of steel companies, and in 2010, the thesis received an award for the best Ph.D. dissertation from the Committee of Organization and Management Sciences, Polish Academy of Sciences. Dr. Kardas worked for the Ministry of Science Higher Education in the Innovation and Development Department as the Counselor to the Minister and is responsible among others for programming of the new EU financial perspective, 2014-2020 in the area of R&D policies. He represents the Ministry in the Technology and Innovation Policy Group of OECD, the Standardization Council of the Polish Committee for Standardization, the Regional Forum of Smart Specialization in Poland, and the Working Group on Regional Innovation Strategies of the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR).
