Academic Ranking of World Universities (AWRU, so-called Shanghai Ranking), an annual survey conducted by the Shanghai Jiaotong University to identify the leading research universities, once again lists the University of Warsaw as the best university in Poland. The only other Polish university, included on the list of 500 top higher education institutions worldwide, is the Jagiellonian University, Krakow.
