Krzysztof Klincewicz works as country expert for the ERAWATCH network, managed by the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies of the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC-IPTS).  The network analyses innovation policies of European Union member states, tracking the progress in implementing the Innovation Union flagship initiative of the European Union, which is part of the Europe 2020 strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. In particular, ERAWATCH focuses on critically evaluating innovation and R&D policies of EU countries, offering guidance for national governments and feedback on the progress to the European Commission. Many of the analytical activities are specialist and not publicly disclosed, especially as they were supporting the preparation of major R&D reforms and the programming of the EU Structural Funds for years 2014-2020. However, some outcomes are published, including ERAWATCH Country Reports and ERAWATCH Country Fiche, presenting the state-of-play in innovation policies of member states at the end of each calendar year.
